Las Vegas here we come...

Monday

Road trip to Vegas sound like a plan to me, 276 miles, so here we come.

The trip started out sunny and fairly clear

and then as were got closer to the mountains the weather closed in on us

and it rained cats and dogs not good driving conditions, just like being back home, but by the time we stopped for a break in Kingman (on Route 66) the weather had cleared up a bit.

Back on the 93 Vegas bound!

The weather sort of held off with a few showers but when we reached Boulder City the sun came out to play, straight in to Vegas and check in to the hotel.

Then after something to eat and a quick skirmish around the hotel to see what was were it was off to the room - sleep me thinks!

New Shoes!

Sunday

Well today we had a quiet one we went shopping, Alex and I got some new shoes then we just had a mooch around then went for smoothies. Spent the rest of the day chillin before our road trip tomorrow!!! Woop woop...

Saturday

Started the day off watching the mens long distance cycle race(in bed) on TV then decided it was time for a swim then a little breakfast, it had been overcast since dawn, at lunchtime it rained for all of 10 minutes while still being 95F.

Wii the order of the day for me and Alex while the rest of the tribe watched TV, yay a break in the clouds, into the POOL! AHHH it didn't last, overcast and hot it feels very strange and the wind is warm!

Friday

Had a swim then some lunch then we went to The Outlets at Anthem about 30 miles north of us had a good mooch around.

Then we came and had something to eat and SHOCK HORROR we watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

They blinded me with science!

Thursday

Stopped off at the So-Cal vintage car parts shop, so had to be done, some really nice cars.

 

and then on to the Arizona Science Centre

and 3D stuff

All in all a good day out.

Movies today

Tuesday:

Started out with a swim and chillin by the pool

We watched Ice Age: Continental Drift very funny the theatre was quite a nice one, seats were good.

Then stopping off for supplies...

and then home for another swim.

Yay us!

Waiting for the bus to the airpport...

Then we had some lunch at the airport (Cost one arm and a leg don't do it!)

at last...



The flight was a good lots of good food and good movies, we got out of the airport and the heat of the day hit us like a ton of bricks 42C/106F we then picked up the SUV very nice little black no. and made our way across Phoenix to our humble abode where we collapsed in a heap and slipped in to oblivion.

Friday

We had a quiet day by the pool, done some shopping at the local Walmart.

The BBQ incidident!!!

Another quiet day Yay!

Monday

A day of exploring the area we found Bestbuy, think Dixons but BIGGER! Then lunch at IHOP and it was great mmmmmm!!!

Well I thought we'd have a BBQ got the pork spare ribs on then sorted out the chicke legs... and then the Gods decided that a BBQ was'nt sutch a good idea...

Then we had a thunderstorm and it rained for the rest of the night Woo Hoo!!!!

Well we are here at last, we have been trying to get used to the time difference and the heat not winning combination but we do have a pool to cool off in.
